OUR SERVICES

Wolf River Veterinary Clinic

The Wolf River Veterinary Clinic, founded in 1996, is a companion animal practice located at 216 W. Wolf River Avenue in New London, Wisconsin. We see mainly cats and dogs, but will also occasionally see rabbits and guinea pigs. Other exotics are typically referred to a specialist.  Currently, the clinic employs four veterinarians, several certified veterinary technicians, and many other support staff.

The clinic is equipped with digital radiology equipment, an ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory to allow quick turnover on most bloodwork, fluid sample analysis, growth/tumor cytology, etc. We are equipped to perform a variety of dental procedures as well as general surgical conditions and some advanced surgeries.

The clinic also houses S.A.F.E. (Stray Animal Fund Endeavor), a 501(c)(3) program which takes in strays from the area, houses them, cares for their medical needs, and adopt out unclaimed adoptable pets.

Veterinary Spinal Manipulation (animal chiropractic)

Veterinary spinal manipulation (animal chiropractic) is useful in treating skeletal system problems such as back, neck, leg, or tail pain, pain associated with arthritis and disc problems. Improve performance in agility and working dogs.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed in the 1700’s by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. It is based on how remedies affect the healthy body. It is based on the fact that if a remedy produces a symptom in a healthy body, it will cure that symptom in a diseased body. Homeopathy can be used to treat any disease. It works best when the disease has not progressed too far. Homeopathy has the advantage of usually causing fewer side effects than conventional medications. It can sometimes cure a disease that conventional medications only control.

Nutritional Consultation

There are many different types of food available for your pet, and each has its own benefits. The food your pet eats depends on their age, size, breed as well as other factors. If your pet has a health concern, we offer several different veterinary diets sold by prescription to help manage those needs. We also offer high quality over-the counter Purina diets to maintain a healthy, happy pet. We are here to help guide you through every stage of your pet’s life.

Digital Radiology Services

Our clinic offers digital radiography – which allows us to get high quality images in seconds to aid in the diagnose of problems faster and more accurately.

Our therapeutic laser is also used for ear infections, post-op surgeries, lick granulomas, arthritis, back injuries, soft tissue trauma, etc.

Laser Surgery

Our clinic uses a 30-watt surgical laser for all routine surgeries. Using this laser allows for faster healing times, decrease in bleeding, inflammation, and pain.

Ultrasound

We offer basic diagnostic ultrasound services to augment our diagnostic capabilities for certain abdominal conditions.

Home Euthanasia Services

The Wolf River Veterinary clinic believes in helping clients with quality of life consults and euthanasia procedures for pets. Making the decision to let your beloved pet go is one we all dread. In-home euthanasia enables your pet pass peacefully in the comfort and surroundings of your home. This lovingly avoids the trauma that most animals (and their owners) experience, when taken away to the vet’s office. There is not an upsetting trip in the car or carrier, at this very sensitive time. At home there is a sense of intimacy and final privacy that cannot be experienced anywhere else. Home euthanasia is a scheduled service. When a home burial is not feasible, we offer cremation or private cremations.
